Silicon Selenide, SiSe2

Silicon Selenide, SiSe2, formed by the action of hydrogen selenide gas on crystalline silicon at a red heat, is a hard, metallic-looking solid with a penetrating smell, which is decomposed by water into silicic acid and hydrogen selenide.
